Beatitude based resources from a Lutheran perspective.

Justification

2006-2007

The following Lessons are copies of the presentation outlines used by Larry D. Harvey in leading a study of Justification.  This class was conducted at Zion Lutheran Church, Tomball, Texas on Wednesday evenings in a format that allowed at least seventy-five minutes for class study and discussion each week.  Some Lessons took more than one weekly session.

The primary resource being used for this study was Loci Theologici, Vol. II, Martin Chemnitz, translated by J.A.O. Preus, ©1989 Concordia Publishing House, St. Louis, MO.

Other resources used during the study are named in the various Lessons.

Martin Chemnitz’s various writings remain a treasure of the Lutheran Church.  The popular adage remains true today, “if the second Martin [Martin Chemnitz] had not come along, the first Martin [Martin Luther] would hardly have survived.”

                                                                        Your brother in Christ,

                                                                        Larry D. Harvey
